# HostCrane FAQ

## What is government hosting readiness?

Government hosting readiness means reviewing whether a government-facing website is credible, maintained, monitored, backed up, secure at a basic operational level, and ready to be reviewed by buyers, partners, agencies, grant reviewers, procurement contacts, or contracting officers.

It is not the same as federal compliance certification.

## What is managed WebOps?

Managed WebOps means the operational layer around a website is actively managed. This can include hosting coordination, updates, backups, uptime monitoring, SSL, DNS, deployment support, issue response, and ongoing website maintenance.

## Do you provide hosting directly?

HostCrane helps organizations deploy, migrate, and manage serious website hosting environments. The focus is not simply selling hosting accounts. The focus is managing the website operations layer around the infrastructure.

## Is HostCrane only for government agencies?

No. HostCrane is built primarily for government contractors, SBIR companies, defense-tech startups, public-sector vendors, nonprofits, and organizations that need to look credible to government-facing buyers and partners.

## Do I need to move my website?

Not always. Every engagement starts with a readiness review. Some websites need a full migration. Others need better operations, updates, monitoring, messaging, or support around the existing setup.

## Do you work with WordPress?

Yes. HostCrane can support WordPress websites, including updates, backups, edits, migrations, plugin review, uptime monitoring, and operational support.

## Do you work with Drupal?

Yes. HostCrane can support Drupal websites and help organizations plan stronger operating environments when they need content governance, structured content, role-based publishing, accessibility review, multilingual support, or disciplined WebOps.

## Can you migrate my website?

Yes. HostCrane can help plan and manage website migrations, including hosting setup, DNS, SSL, launch checks, and post-launch support.

## Can HostCrane help with a capability page?

Yes. HostCrane can help government-facing organizations improve capability pages, procurement-facing pages, SBIR/STTR landing pages, and website messaging so buyers and partners can understand the company faster.

## How does my website relate to my capability statement?

A capability statement, DSBS profile, SAM.gov profile, and website should tell a consistent story about what the company does, who it serves, core competencies, past performance, differentiators, NAICS codes, certifications, and contact paths.

HostCrane helps organizations identify gaps between the website and the credibility materials used in government contracting.

## Are you a federal agency or compliance certifier?

No. HostCrane is not a federal agency and does not certify compliance. HostCrane helps government-facing organizations improve website readiness, reliability, and operational credibility. For regulated workloads, additional security or compliance review may be required.

## Do you claim official platform partner or reseller status?

No public claim should be made unless and until an official relationship exists. HostCrane should not claim official partner, reseller, certification, or government approval status unless that status is formally confirmed.
